NTL-004 Civilian Platform — Continuous Physiological Monitoring

HEART
BEAT

Your body knows before you do.

Continuous physiological monitoring that builds a picture of your personal normal — and acts the moment something changes. Offline-capable. Automatic. Always on.

Deterioration rarely announces itself.

Heat injury, dehydration, infection, cardiac events — each has a window where intervention is simple and effective. Outside that window, the same condition becomes a crisis.

That window is almost never visible to anyone around the person experiencing it. By the time symptoms are obvious, the easy intervention has passed.

HEARTBEAT was designed around a different assumption: that the monitoring has to work even when nothing else does.

Personalised. Offline. Automatic.

Learn

HEARTBEAT builds your personal physiological baseline across every wearing session. Not population averages — your normal. Your resting heart rate. Your temperature response to exertion. Your respiratory pattern. The longer you wear it, the better it knows you.

Monitor

Continuous vital sign monitoring — heart rate, HRV, oxygen saturation, skin temperature, respiratory rate. All processed locally on the device. No cloud dependency. No connectivity required. Fully functional in environments where no other system works.

Act

When HEARTBEAT detects a pattern inconsistent with your established normal, it alerts the right people automatically. No action required from the wearer. No connectivity required. The alert reaches whoever needs to know — through whatever channel is available.

What makes HEARTBEAT different.

Personalised baseline

HEARTBEAT scores incoming data against your own established normal — not population thresholds. This dramatically reduces false alerts while catching deterioration that population-level systems miss entirely. Your physiology is unique. Your monitoring should be too.

Offline-first architecture

The intelligence layer runs locally on the device. No cloud dependency. No connectivity requirement. HEARTBEAT functions in environments where no other monitoring system does — remote operations, austere settings, communications-denied environments.

Cross-session memory

When you replace a device, your baseline carries forward. HEARTBEAT never starts from zero. Every wearing session adds to a persistent physiological profile that belongs to you — months or years of accumulated personal data that improves detection accuracy over time.

Dormant mesh failover

If your paired device is lost or destroyed, HEARTBEAT autonomously switches to Bluetooth mesh broadcast — alerting adjacent devices without any action from the wearer. The core innovation of NTL-004, shared with the SENTINEL military platform.

Six verticals. One platform.

NHS
Virtual Ward

Post-discharge patients monitored at home. Deterioration detected before readmission becomes necessary. Clinical team alerted automatically. Role 2 notification before the ambulance arrives.

Emergency Services
Operational Safety

Paramedics, firefighters, and police in high-risk operational environments. Primary device loss concurrent with physiological trauma activates emergency broadcast to incident command.

Social Care
Care Home Residents

Continuous monitoring for vulnerable residents. Falls, cardiac events, and physiological deterioration detected automatically. Family and care team notified without staff intervention.

Industrial
Remote Workers

Offshore platforms, mining operations, construction sites. Lone worker protection that meets emerging regulatory requirements. No infrastructure dependency. Works where no other system does.

Sport & Expedition
Extreme Environments

Mountaineering, endurance events, expedition medicine. Physiological monitoring in environments where no other system functions. Emergency broadcast reaches rescue teams without connectivity.

Personal
Personal Emergency

For individuals who want the reassurance of continuous monitoring — and the people who care about them. Simple to use. Always on. Completely automatic.

Your data. Your control.

HEARTBEAT uses end-to-end encryption throughout. Your physiological profile is stored on your device and syncs only to services you explicitly authorise. No data is sold. No advertising. No third-party access without your consent.

The emergency broadcast transmits only what's needed — identity, location, physiological status — to the people you've designated. Nothing more. The platform is designed so that the company that built it cannot access your health data without your explicit instruction.

HEARTBEAT and SENTINEL share a common hardware platform and firmware architecture. The dormant mesh failover, personalised baseline engine, and offline intelligence layer are identical. MOD funds the hardware development once. The civilian HEARTBEAT platform generates long-term revenue that sustains ongoing development without continued MOD subsidy.

Where we are.

HEARTBEAT is in active development. The core platform — baseline engine, deviation scorer, offline architecture — is operational. Hardware development is proceeding alongside the SENTINEL military programme, with civilian profiles to follow.
